Abstract:


This thesis is an examination into the issues pertaining to the planning of the WCDMA wireless network. Thesis begins with the foundations of the CDMA system and evolution of CDMA to Wideband CDMA. Mobile radio systems propagation environment issues and their effect on the planning of the wireless network are given. Processes and tools, used in the planning and design of WCDMA wireless network, are surveyed. Various techniques integrated into WCDMA network for the further improvement of the Quality of Service are discussed.
