1.DESIGN OF AN RFID – BASED MANUFACTURING MONITORING AND ANALYSIS SYSTEM

ABSTRACT. Radio Frequency identification technology has become an important driver in the modern production logistics activities of today’s information-based industries and economics. With the modern development and latest technology, companies focus more on how these technologies can be implemented and promoted in order to improve their value-added process. In this project presents one such practical implementation approach for the monitoring and analysis of a discrete manufacturing environment using the super RFID technology. Monitoring the parts flows in manufacturing system time-wise and location-wise is very critical for productivity, cost, quality, inventory, and speed. In companies when the production automation has been implemented the parts are monitored by the system. This may allow better monitoring of the manufacturing process with expedient material flow and more effective planning and control. This super RFID based manufacturing monitoring and analysis system to monitor where and when a part is located throughout its flow in a production process using RFID tag placed on the parts and antennas located at appropriate places. The system will enable the visibility of multiple parts simultaneously without requiring operator support and collect the following information related to a part. 1. Arrival time to a workstation. 2. Activity start time. 3. Activity end time. 4. Departure time from the workstation. 5. Location of a part. Implementation. In this system every parts in the production is equipped with a super RFID tag. The manufacturing plant is installed with reader antenna at appropriate locations. The data from the part/tag is read on real time. The reader can receive data from many tags at a time. 5.SHOPPING PATH ANALYSIS AND TRANSACTION MINING BASED ON RFID TECHNOLOGY.

ABSTRACT : The active RFID technology is gaining strong support from business for various applications such as supply chain management, access control, air line luggage management, etc Due to the cost consideration, it is still not a replacement for the traditional item-level Bar-code. Therefore, tracking and analyzing the shopping path and purchasing behaviors of customers in a superstore such as Wl-Maart is still a challenging task. In this project, a practical attempt have made a RFID deployment model for collecting shopping paths and purchased items of customers. Algorithms based on customer Access Matrix (CAM) and Customer Transaction Mining (CTM) is then proposed for mining preferred shopping paths and their relationships to the purchased items. In the experiments, we build a data setngenerator for shopping paths and purchased items of customers, and the results show that our model is applicable to real time application. Implementation: In this system, multiple active tags are used. Each tag can be used again, so the data in the tag is easily reprogrammable as per the application. The base unit has reader and processor, which is connected to a PC with database. Multiple tags can be added to the system as per the cost estimation.

6. AN RFID APPLICATION FOR THE DISABLED : PATH FINDER

Interactive or active RFID technology that is being used for many-advanced application from health sector to retail depending on that technology. Path finder , of which it is designed for the mainly the blind, in an RFID based application which stem to reach nonexplicit requirements and aims for user group to reach to target within a non familiar or totally un known campus area without taking any help out side. Starting from the entrance gate, application guides the user until wherever the user wants to reach and in vise versa direction. During the trip, many users decide to change the target by using a shortest path algorithm. In this project, we tried to explain how to develop such a solution and gave test result of the system.

IMPLEMENTATION; the system consists of multiple reader installed in multiple location through campus. The base has a speaker unit, which announces the path to proceed. The RFID issued to the blind unique ID and registered with a particular destination. When the tag reaches each reader, the base unit will guide to the next point how to go. Each reader can guide multiple access as per tag issued. Complex software and hardware solution have implemented in this application.

8. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF OPERATIONAL PARAMETERS ON RFID CONTROLLED CONVEYOR SYSTEM.

ABSTRACT: RFID has been taking great attention of industry for its various advantages. This technology enables to monitor and track items in production facilities, warehouse operations, and distributions. However, RFID system performance is dramatically affected from the operational setting of the system. In particular, identification of appropriate levels for each operational factor is not trivial. In this project, we demonstrate an effective methodology to reveal appropriate operational setting for any RFID system. The purpose of this study is two fold (1) to present an organized, concise methodology for identification of influential factors of any RFID system (2) to evaluate operational parameters on RFID controlled conveyor system.

9. LOW COST SMARTCARD TICKETING USING RFID.

ABSTRACT: Issuing season ticket, one time usage ticket, or any kind of ticket which need to issue daily become a massive process which require man power and assistance. The smart card ticketing is an alternative solution for this massive process. The electronic ticket or E-Ticket described here is the new approach to replace the traditional ticketing system. The main advantage of wireless smart card based ticket is, that it can be used repeatedly as per the charging. The ticket can be issue such as one time use, one-day use or even one month or so.

The electronic ticket card is programmed for specific usage period. It can be used as regular traveling ticket where it access with existing ticket machine to issue ticket. The RFID based ticket is an electronic solution for getting / issuing tickets in a busy line. The printing machine attached to the base reader unit will issue the printed form of ticket to the user. Once the card is used, the card is updated with time, usage, ID etc. If it is one- day useable card, the card will lock automatically after one use. The central monitor station can monitor the usage of each card on time. The main advantage of such RFID based cards is , it can be charges by the user with an automatic charger unit with appropriate usage points such as one time , multiple use etc. The ticket options available as:

11.MINIATURE WIRELESS SENSOR, MEMS BASED, APPLICATION IN COLD CHAIN (FOOD/MEDICINE PROCESS) LOGISTICS WITH REAL TIME TEMPERATURE DATA STORAGE AND REMOTE DATA ACCESS USING SUPER RFID.

The cold chain logistics is a systematic project which ensure the temperature-sensitive product under the pro-established low temperature in every process of production’s torage, transportation and sale which can make sure the products quality and reduce the logistics loss, Since the environment is changing vastly, and due to the limitation of tech and cost , the risk of quality accidents due to the goods temperature change in the process of transportation and dispatching is more often than in other process. Moreover, in common situation, the closeness of transportation and dispatching process always makes more difficulties for the next accident survey works, that is when and where the goods temperature began to fall outside the limitation range. On the other hand, whether it is caused by an unexpected environmental factor or a persistent error of cold storage system. The resolution for these problems is a kind of tech, which can constantly record and store the goods temperature and send the temperature data to the back-stage management system.

With the rapid growth of RFID tech and MEMS applications, the important role of temperature sensing system based on active RFID tech is more and more convinced in the industry with miniature sensor apart. Active RFID tag can achieve real-time temp data though MEMS based temp sensor and store the data during all process, then transmit them the connected RFID tag memory, then the data in the tag can be read once the tag appear in the range of reader. The reader can read many tags simultaneously. The tags data is analyzed and entire data stored during the process will be displayed on the PC It also alert if the particular tag undergoes above permitted temperature level. The reader is connected to a base processor and then feed to a PC with installed software.

12.INTELLIGENT E-POLICE AND TRAFFIC VIOLATION AUTOMATIC RECORDER SYSTEM FOR MODERN CITY TRAFFIC USING MOST ADVANCED WIRELESS SENSOR TECHNOLOGY IN REAL TIME.

With the rapid growth of economy, the quantity of vehicles in the city has greatly increased, as well as the number of drivers. At the same time, the situation of disobeying regulations happed more than before, which has lead to great number of damages to body and economy. Many obstacles have been made in the process of building civilized city, maintaining traffic orders and protecting personal safety. How to efficiently solve the problem of traffic crowding and regulation disobeying to avoid traffic accidents and meet the requirements of smooth traffic project have been the first important issue which the traffic administration has to urgently deal with.

“ e-police”, also called detecting and recording system, is used to catch vehicles violating traffic rules, such as over-speed driving and red traffic light violation. The traffic rule violation is main factor of traffic accidents, chaos and traffic jams. E-police system can work all day and all night to monitor violation of red light at the intersection or detecting over-speed driving at preset checkpoints on roads.

Base on the micro Watt ultra-low power consumption technology, combined with RFID technology and wireless sensing technology, the new vehicle traffic violation detecting system have been presented.

When a vehicle passes through an electromagnetic flux sensor, it will change the field and will lead to a change of return circuit of the field. By imbedding a wireless terrestrial magnetism detector beyond the stop line at the cross road, the detector will generate an electro magnetic field which is vertical with the road surface. When vehicle pass though the detector, it just equals as a metal surface object cutting the electromagnet filed, as the magnetic flex of the field changes, and lead to a change of return circuit of the wireless magnetism detector. When the vehicle detector installed at the crossroad receives the return circuit of the wireless terrestrial magnetism detector, every signal light is equipped with a direction and signal status encoder and transmitter. The RSE (roadside equipment) monitors status of all traffic signals and the status of vehicle on the every direction of road. As per the traffic signal vehicles are moving, when any vehicle try to violate red signal the RSE will detect the particular vehicles data and sent to remote central monitoring station of police.
